Manchester United has officially confirmed that midfielder Casemiro will depart the club at the end of the current season, coinciding with the expiration of his contract. At 33 years of age, Casemiro has appeared in 21 matches across all competitions this season and is set to explore new opportunities following this campaign.

In their statement, United noted: “Casemiro will leave Manchester United this summer, upon the expiry of his contract.”

The esteemed midfielder has enjoyed a fruitful four-year tenure at the club, featuring in 146 games and netting 21 goals to date. A proven winner, Casemiro made his debut at Old Trafford in August 2022 and quickly endeared himself to fans with his tenacity and knack for scoring critical goals.

As Brazil’s captain, he played a vital role in securing Manchester United’s triumph in the 2023 Carabao Cup, notably scoring a header in a standout performance against Newcastle United. Additionally, he contributed to the team’s victory in the 2024 Emirates FA Cup.
