Casemiro has achieved significant success with Manchester United, securing both the EFL Cup and the FA Cup during his time at the club.

The club has confirmed that the midfielder will depart when his contract concludes at the end of this season. The 33-year-old joined Manchester United from Real Madrid in 2022 for a fee of £70 million and has since appeared in 146 matches.

He notably scored the opening goal in the 2023 Carabao Cup final, leading to a victory over Newcastle and contributing to the team finishing third in the Premier League in his inaugural season.

However, last year, new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe remarked that some players, including Casemiro, were “not good enough” and “overpaid.”

In response, the Brazilian international stated, “I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life. It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months. We still have a lot to fight for together; my complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed.”
