It increasingly appears that PSV may have to come to terms with the potential departure of Dele Thomas. The winger was a revelation for the Jong PSV team prior to the winter break but seems unlikely to extend his contract in Noord-Brabant.

Dele Thomas is leaning towards a lucrative contract with RB Leipzig.

For several months, PSV has been attempting to secure a longer-term deal for the rapid winger. Following Eintracht Frankfurt’s interest, RB Leipzig has now also expressed a desire to bring him to Germany. Last summer, Leipzig showed interest in PSV’s Johan Bakayoko, for which they offered over twenty million euros.

Is he better than Hadj Moussa?

Hans Kraaij Jr. previously remarked about Thomas, stating: “I am very impressed by an eighteen-year-old left winger from PSV, Dele Thomas. He has been part of Feyenoord’s youth academy and played last season for the Under-18 team. He is a daring winger who attacks defenders directly, which they find incredibly frustrating. He has impressive speed and also utilizes his right foot to go around defenders. Perhaps Hadj Moussa could learn to do that as well. He possesses a unique style reminiscent of Piet Keizer, for those of us who remember. Thomas is bold, fast, and constantly active on the field.”
