Sky Germany reports that Eintracht Frankfurt is actively pursuing Bochum midfielder Cajetan Lenz, with intentions to finalize a deal during the winter transfer window.

While the primary plan is for Lenz to join the Waldstadion in the summer, Frankfurt is eager to preemptively secure the 19-year-old amid growing interest from rival clubs.

The club has already engaged in discussions not only with Lenz but also with Bochum. The anticipated transfer fee for the talented midfielder is estimated to be between €10 million and €15 million.

This season, Lenz has made 17 appearances in the 2. Bundesliga, contributing two goals and one assist, as Bochum currently finds itself in 11th place in the league standings.

In addition to searching for a new head coach, Frankfurt has also been proactive this winter in acquiring talent from the lower divisions. Recently, Younes Ebnoutalib was signed from 2. Bundesliga side Elversberg for €8 million before suffering an injury, while Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab was recruited from the 3. Liga and Hoffenheim’s second team for €200,000.

Both newcomers made impactful debuts by scoring in their first matches for the club.
