Critique of Feyenoord’s Recent Player Acquisitions

The hosts of ‘Vandaag Inside’ have expressed a lack of enthusiasm regarding Feyenoord’s recent player acquisitions. The Rotterdam club has welcomed Mats Deijl and Jeremiah St. Juste, but according to René van der Gijp, these signings are unlikely to bring joy to Feyenoord supporters. The former footballer does not view these additions as effective means to secure the team’s second-place position in the Eredivisie.

Sport marketer Chris Woerts also voiced his concerns during the program, stating, “The situation is far from resolved. They have now signed St. Juste…” Van der Gijp echoed this sentiment, expressing confusion over the decision. He remarked, “They have brought in Deijl and St. Juste. How can that make anyone happy? If the goal is to secure a Champions League spot, these are not the players you would pursue.”
