Feyenoord Defender Denies Claims of Discontent Under Coach Van Persie

In a recent interview with De Telegraaf, Feyenoord defender Anel Ahmedhodzic dismissed claims that coach Robin van Persie has lost support from a significant portion of his squad, labeling such assertions as ‘total bullshit.’

Ahmedhodzic expressed concern over external narratives aimed at disrupting the team’s morale. “They want to damage the atmosphere at Feyenoord and undermine our team,” he stated.

As one of the more experienced players, Ahmedhodzic believes he can discern when things are not going well. He affirmed the squad’s unwavering trust in their coach, acknowledging the pressures Van Persie has faced. “I feel personally responsible, as do my teammates in the locker room. We have come out of a challenging period where we, as players, should have taken more responsibility and performed better,” he remarked.

Earlier in the week, Ahmedhodzic also praised teammate Shaqueel van Persie, stating, “He is very acrobatic and an excellent player. It’s great to see him making the transition to the first team, as he has been performing well.”
