The Baskonia-Alavés group is actively engaged in the winter football transfer market, leveraging its partnership with NK Istra, a Croatian club that plays a crucial role in the group’s internationalization strategy. This collaboration enhances their scouting efforts in the thriving Balkan region.

NK Istra, currently positioned fourth in the Croatian League, and 12 points behind the leaders Dinamo Zagreb, is preparing to transfer forward Salim Fago to Viktoria Pilsen for a fee of three million euros. At just 23 years of age, Fago recently competed in the Africa Cup with the Nigerian national team, finishing in third place. In the current season, he has recorded 7 goals and 2 assists in 19 matches for NK Istra.

Furthermore, the club has recently turned down several offers for Ville Koski, a promising 23-year-old central defender standing at 1.85 meters tall, who is a full international for Finland and a key player in Istra’s defense. Both Chicago Fire and another MLS club have made offers of three million euros for Koski in recent weeks, alongside interest from a prominent Bundesliga club.
