Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is actively seeking to bolster its striker options during the upcoming winter transfer window.

Among the potential candidates is Jeremy Arevalo, a striker from Racing Santander. The 20-year-old has made an impressive impact in the Spanish second division, netting seven goals in just 12 appearances.

Arevalo is under contract in northern Spain until 2027; however, his deal includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart will need to navigate competition from fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A teams AS Roma and Udinese, who are also showing interest in the young striker.

Should Stuttgart successfully secure Arevalo’s signature, it would mark a significant investment, surpassing the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane this past summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig has recently made a significant acquisition from LaLiga2, acquiring Yan Diomande from the relegated Leganes for €20 million.

Currently, Stuttgart’s options in the striker position are limited due to the injury of Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. Presently, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players for the striker role, leaving the team without a recognized forward.

In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart has also been linked with Real Madrid’s striker Endrick; however, it appears that the Brazilian, who has fallen out of favor, is not on Stuttgart’s radar.
