Celta Vigo has faced its first away defeat since September 28, when they lost to Elche, marking a gap of 119 days without a loss on the road. During this period, the team achieved five victories and one draw in league matches, demonstrating their strength away from Balaídos. The defeat came against Real Sociedad, where Celta was unable to capitalize on playing with a numerical advantage for several minutes. Borja Iglesias managed to equalize the score, marking his eighth goal of the league season and twelfth across all competitions.
