Fulham Strikes Deal for Ricardo Pepi PSV Unmoved by Initial OfferFulham Strikes Deal for Ricardo Pepi PSV Unmoved by Initial Offer

omidbasir- Fulham is reportedly looking to secure the transfer of American forward Ricardo Pepi from PSV during this transfer period. The Premier League club has made an offer of 32 million euros for Pepi; however, this amount is considered insufficient by the Eindhoven club.

Rafael van der Vaart has expressed that he would accept the offer immediately, allowing the striker to depart.

The discussion initially shifted to Ivan Perisic at Studio Voetbal, where Internazionale seems to be interested. Journalist Jeroen Stekelenburg noted, “They have not yet made an official approach. Much depends on the upcoming week. A substantial sum will need to be offered, and given their exit from the Champions League, I can understand why they might be willing to negotiate. There will come a moment when they cannot refuse him.”

Only an extreme offer may persuade PSV to reconsider their position. Transfer journalist Mounir Boualin previously reported that a bid was forthcoming, but technical director Earnest Stewart is not inclined to change their stance easily. An extraordinary proposal could alter the situation. Pepi recently suffered an injury and is not expected to return until at least March. Marcel Brands, the general director, remarked to ESPN, “There was considerable interest in Pepi, so we have been somewhat prepared… not for his injury, but for a potential departure. Our lists are ready. Fulham offered 25 million for Pepi, but we didn’t even consider that. At this point, we do not wish to sell. Given his injury, we now must explore possibilities in the transfer market. I believe we will only act if it genuinely adds value.”
