Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is looking to enhance its striker options in the upcoming winter transfer window. One of the potential targets is Racing Santander’s striker, Jeremy Arevalo. The 20-year-old has demonstrated his scoring ability by netting seven goals in 12 appearances in the Spanish second division. Arevalo is under contract in Spain until 2027; however, he has a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart faces competition for his signature, notably from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt and Serie A clubs AS Roma and Udinese. Should Stuttgart secure Arevalo’s transfer, it would mark a significant investment, surpassing the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete this summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig made headlines by acquiring Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes for €20 million in a similar pursuit of LaLiga2 talent. Currently, Stuttgart’s striker options are limited due to the injury sustained by Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. At present, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only viable options for the striker role, leaving the team in need of a recognized forward. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart has also been linked with Real Madrid’s striker Endrick; however, the out-of-favor Brazilian does not appear to be under consideration at Mercedesstraße.
