Criticism of Studio Voetbal’s Treatment of Coach Maurice Steijn

Verweij expressed his discontent, stating, “There was clear political maneuvering during the broadcast, and once again at the expense of Steijn.” He made these remarks on the football podcast Kick-Off. He pointed out that while Pierre van Hooijdonk was present, discussions consistently revolved around Ron Jans and John van den Brom, who was also at the table.
