Patrick Dorgu exited the field during Manchester United’s recent 3-2 victory over Arsenal due to a hamstring injury.

The 21-year-old winger, who scored United’s second goal from the edge of the box, limped off in the final moments of the match. Although interim head coach Michael Carrick initially speculated that it might have been cramp, it has since been determined that the injury is more serious.

Current reports indicate that the Denmark international is still undergoing evaluation, and the exact duration of his absence remains uncertain.

Dorgu, who joined Manchester United from Italian club Lecce a year ago, has thrived in an advanced left-sided attacking position under Carrick, notably scoring in the previous match against Manchester City as well.

With eight Premier League fixtures scheduled prior to the international break in March, Dorgu is anticipated to be unavailable as he was expected to represent Denmark in the World Cup play-offs.

His injury could potentially open the door for Matheus Cunha, who has been on the substitutes’ bench for the last two matches but netted the decisive goal against Arsenal.
