Paul Wanner Clarifies International Allegiance Amid RumorsPaul Wanner Clarifies International Allegiance Amid Rumors

omidbasir- A report that surfaced recently regarding former Bayern Munich star Paul Wanner’s international allegiance has been debunked. The 20-year-old PSV Eindhoven player addressed the speculation during a Champions League press conference ahead of a match against his former club.

Wanner, who has earned nine caps with Germany’s U21 team, has yet to represent Austria at any level. Nonetheless, ÖFB head coach Ralf Rangnick has been actively pursuing Wanner for several years.

“That’s not true,” Wanner stated during the press conference. “I haven’t made a decision yet. Until then, I will continue to do my best. I’m just focusing on PSV.”

In a recent interview with Sport Bild, Wanner expressed his aspirations, saying, “I dream of playing in a World Cup. But until then, I want and need to perform week after week.”

Regarding his playing time, Wanner remarked in a Dutch domestic interview, as reported by Kicker, “I’m always ready for more playing time. But the coach decides when I play and when I don’t.”
