Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is actively seeking to bolster its striker options during the upcoming winter transfer window. One potential target is 20-year-old Jeremy Arevalo, currently playing for Racing Santander. Arevalo has showcased his talent by scoring seven goals in just 12 appearances in the Spanish second division. Although Arevalo’s contract in Spain extends until 2027, it includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart will need to navigate competition from fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A teams AS Roma and Udinese, who are also interested in the young striker. Should Stuttgart secure Arevalo’s signing, it would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete last summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig made headlines when they signed Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes for €20 million, further highlighting the potential investment in LaLiga2 talent. Currently, Stuttgart’s options in the striker position are limited due to Ermedin Demirovic’s injury earlier this season. At present, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players for the forward position, and the team is in need of a recognized striker. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart was linked with Real Madrid’s Endrick; however, the out-of-favor Brazilian is not a priority for the club at this time.
