Jeremiah St. Juste s Return to Feyenoord Injury Status UpdateJeremiah St. Juste s Return to Feyenoord Injury Status Update

omidbasir- Feyenoord has strengthened its squad this winter with the return of Jeremiah St. Juste, who has come back to his former club. According to Robin van Persie, the defender could soon be included in the matchday squad; however, he notably missed the game last Sunday. This raises the question: how fit is St. Juste?

Last week, St. Juste officially signed his contract at De Kuip, marking his definitive return to the club he holds dear. The quick center-back joined on a free transfer from Sporting CP. If Van Persie’s statements are accurate, the defender is poised to integrate into the matchday roster soon. “He is in excellent training shape and has had some playing time with Sporting B,” the head coach noted during a press conference last Friday. “He has been training fully; the only aspect he needs to develop now is match fitness in the upcoming period.”

Ajax is facing a similar scenario. The Amsterdam club previously reinforced its team with Takehiro Tomiyasu, who had been without a club for some time. The Japanese player is currently undergoing rehabilitation, raising questions about when he will be match-ready. Last weekend, Tomiyasu was included in the squad for the game against FC Volendam (which ended 2-0), but he did not see any playing time. “It will take time for both St. Juste and Tomiyasu,” Boualin commented. “These players have not been active in matches for a while.”
