Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is seeking to enhance its striker options during the upcoming winter transfer window. One potential target is Jeremy Arevalo, a striker from Racing Santander. The 20-year-old has demonstrated his scoring ability, netting seven goals in just 12 appearances in the Spanish second division. Although Arevalo’s contract in northern Spain runs until 2027, it includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart faces competition for his signature from fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A teams AS Roma and Udinese. Should Stuttgart successfully sign Arevalo, the transfer fee would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete last summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig notably invested €20 million to acquire Yan Diomande from relegated Leganés earlier this year. Currently, Stuttgart is experiencing a shortage of strikers following the injury to Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. At present, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only forwards available, leaving the team without a recognized striker. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart has also been linked with Real Madrid’s striker Endrick, but reports indicate that the Brazilian, who has fallen out of favor, is not a priority for the team at Mercedesstraße.
