Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is keen to enhance its striker options during the winter transfer window. One of the leading candidates on their radar is Racing Santander’s Jeremy Arevalo. The 20-year-old forward has made a significant impact in the Spanish second division, scoring seven goals in just 12 appearances. Arevalo is contracted to the northern Spanish club until 2027; however, his agreement includes a release clause valued at €7 million. Stuttgart faces competition for his signature from fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A teams AS Roma and Udinese. Should Stuttgart successfully acquire Arevalo, his transfer fee would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete this past summer. Additionally, RB Leipzig previously ventured into the LaLiga2 market, securing Yan Diomande from relegated Leganés for €20 million. Currently, Stuttgart is limited in its striker options due to the injury of Ermedin Demirovic earlier in the season. As it stands, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players capable of fulfilling the striker role, leaving the team in need of a recognized forward. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart has also been linked to Real Madrid striker Endrick; however, the out-of-favor Brazilian does not appear to be a priority for the club at Mercedesstraße.
