Louis van Gaal’s Future at Ajax in Question Amid Changes

omidbasir- Louis van Gaal is currently serving as an advisor to Ajax, but it remains uncertain how long he will continue in this capacity. The former coach of the Amsterdam club appeared on the talk show Pauw en de Wit last Thursday, where he indicated that his time at Ajax may soon come to an end.

The potential departure of Van Gaal is linked to the recent changes within the Supervisory Board. The appointment of new chairman Lesley Bamberg and other board members is expected to provide clarity on the situation. During his appearance, Van Gaal remained non-committal about his future, stating, “I will have to see if I am afforded that honor.”

Additionally, starting February 1, Jordi Cruijff will take over as the technical director, succeeding Alex Kroes. Van Gaal mentioned that he has not yet met with Cruijff, but anticipates that they will sit down together soon. “I will be meeting with him shortly. I do not know him well. Normally, I have an opinion on everything, but not in this case, as it relates to my role as an advisor to Ajax.”
