Rangers Football Club has received numerous reports from fans and staff concerning various issues experienced at Estadio do Dragao during their Europa League match against FC Porto. The club has committed to addressing these complaints with the relevant authorities.

Following their 3-1 defeat, reports indicate that visiting fans were held inside the stadium for as long as two hours after the match concluded on Thursday night. Despite an early lead provided by Djeidi Gassama’s goal, Rangers found themselves unable to maintain their advantage, finishing in 32nd place out of 36 teams in the Europa League phase.

In an official statement, Rangers expressed their concern: “Following the match in Porto, we’ve received multiple reports from supporters and staff about issues in and around the stadium. That’s not what anyone who traveled to support Rangers should have had to deal with, and we share the concern, anger, and frustration felt by those affected. We will be gathering complaints and feedback and will pursue this with the relevant parties.”

Additionally, the match was overshadowed by reports of four police officers sustaining injuries prior to the Celtic versus Utrecht match, further highlighting the tense atmosphere surrounding recent European fixtures.
