Christian Norgaard: Ajax’s Midfield Target Amid Arsenal Stint

Christian Norgaard is one of the names on Ajax’s shortlist for the vacant midfield controller position. Six months ago, he signed with Arsenal FC, but the 31-year-old Dane has seen minimal playing time in London.

Despite his limited opportunities, Norgaard is not ready to give up just yet. In response to inquiries about a potential loan this month, he stated, “I am really very happy here. I understand that the club is also very pleased with me. Therefore, I believe we have a mutually beneficial relationship. I am learning and need to absorb Mikel Arteta’s tactics. Hopefully, I will get more playing time in the final months of the season.”

Other players previously linked to the midfield controller role include Daley Blind and Manuel Ugarte (from Girona and Manchester United), along with Edson Álvarez and Douglas Luíz, who has already signed with Aston Villa.
