omidbasir- Al-Nassr established control from the outset at King Abdullah Sport City Stadium, with Felix and Sadio Mane quickly creating an opportunity that saw the Senegalese forward head the ball wide within the first two minutes. Felix was once again involved shortly after, receiving a precise ball from Inigo Martinez, which led to a goal-bound shot from Ronaldo being cleared off the line by 19-year-old Mansour Camara.

As the match progressed, Al-Nassr continued to generate chances, although Ronaldo missed a promising headed opportunity after mistiming his jump. The home side started to gain some momentum as the first half unfolded; however, it was Al-Nassr who consistently fashioned the most significant opportunities. Mane set up Felix for another header that narrowly missed the target, and Simakan’s powerful header was thwarted by the impressive right hand of Al-Kholood goalkeeper Juan Pablo Cozzani.

The home team managed to reach halftime without conceding, aided by a remarkable block from John Buckley, who bravely deflected a shot from Ronaldo over the crossbar. They also benefitted from a closely contested offside decision, which ruled out Mane’s strike due to Felix being marginally offside during the buildup.

In the second half, Al-Nassr showed no signs of mercy. Just two minutes after the restart, they took the lead, courtesy of a pivotal contribution from Ronaldo. Felix, having once again evaded the offside trap, unselfishly played the ball across the pitch for Ronaldo to slide into an empty net. This goal marked Ronaldo’s 17th in the Saudi Pro League for the season, bringing him within one goal of top scorer Ivan Toney and representing the illustrious Portuguese player’s 961st career goal.

Shortly after taking the lead, Al-Nassr extended their advantage to 2-0, with Simakan capitalizing on another assist from Felix. From that moment on, it became increasingly evident that there would only be one winner, as the home side struggled to launch any meaningful attacks. To compound matters for Al-Kholood, captain Hatan Bahbri received a red card for an elbow on Simakan after VAR instructed the referee to review the incident on the monitor.

As the match approached its conclusion, Al-Nassr sealed their victory when Ramzi Solan fouled Coman in the penalty area. With Ronaldo and Mane off the pitch, Coman confidently converted the spot kick, sending Cozzani the wrong way and capping off a significant win for Al-Nassr.

Although Felix did not score, he was undeniably the standout player of the match, central to nearly every attacking move for Al-Nassr. He assisted both Ronaldo and Simakan, created more opportunities, and nearly added to the tally with an audacious rabona shot that was tipped over the bar shortly after the hour mark.

Al-Kholood struggled throughout the contest, clearly outmatched by the attacking prowess of Ronaldo, Felix, and their teammates. The match’s biggest disappointment was Bahbri, whose frustration culminated in a reckless elbow on Simakan, resulting in a suspension that will hinder his team further in the coming weeks.
