Upcoming Transfer of Maher Carrizo to AjaxUpcoming Transfer of Maher Carrizo to Ajax

The transfer of Maher Carrizo to Ajax is imminent. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has provided additional details about the upcoming move, indicating that the Argentine talent is scheduled to undergo a medical examination this weekend before finalizing a multi-year contract.

The deal will involve a substantial transfer fee, with Ajax expected to pay seven million euros for Carrizo, alongside an option for an additional six million euros. This suggests that the transfer is poised to be completed soon. Ajax faced competition from FC Midtjylland, but the Danish club has since withdrawn from the race.

As reported by Algemeen Dagblad, Ajax is bracing for a hectic conclusion to the transfer market, and Carrizo’s transfer is a key part of this activity. “Ajax is in for a very busy end to the transfer window. The club is on the verge of signing Maarten Paes and Oleksandr Zinchenko, and is also aiming for a Brazilian right-back, an experienced midfielder, and an Argentine winger by Wednesday,” they stated.

Goalkeeper Maarten Paes has already passed his medical examination and is set to sign a contract for three and a half years with Ajax. Zinchenko will be signing a six-month contract. “And Ajax is not yet finished,” the AD reported. Under the leadership of technical director Jordi Cruijff, the club is actively pursuing additional transfer deals. The search for an experienced midfielder remains a serious option, with Brazilian Fred from Fenerbahçe being a strong candidate for this role. Additionally, winger Maher Carrizo from Vélez Sarsfield and wing-back JP Chermont from Santos FC are also high on Ajax’s wish list.
