Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is keen to enhance its striker options in the upcoming winter transfer window. One of the primary targets is Racing Santander striker Jeremy Arevalo. The 20-year-old talent has demonstrated his scoring ability, netting seven goals in just 12 appearances in the Spanish second division. Although Arevalo’s contract with the Spanish club extends until 2027, it includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart, however, must contend with interest from fellow Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A teams AS Roma and Udinese. Should Stuttgart secure Arevalo’s signing, it would surpass the fee Bayer Leverkusen paid for Christian Kofane from Albacete (€5.25 million), and follow the trend of RB Leipzig, which recently acquired Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes for €20 million. Currently, Stuttgart’s options at the striker position are limited due to Ermedin Demirovic’s injury earlier this season. At present, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players for this role, leaving the team in search of a recognized forward. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart has also been linked with Real Madrid striker Endrick, but the Brazilian, who has fallen out of favor at the Spanish club, does not appear to be a focus for Stuttgart.
