Portuguese defender Guilherme Ramos has officially completed his transfer to Chinese first division club, Beijing Guoan.

The 28-year-old player moves abroad after spending five seasons in Germany, playing for Hamburg and Arminia Bielefeld. According to Transfermarkt, Hamburger SV has secured a transfer fee of €100,000 for their seldom-used defender. Notably, Ramos scored a goal for HSV in this year’s Pokal.

Sporting director Claus Costa expressed his appreciation for Ramos in a club statement, stating, “Gui is an exemplary professional who has always put himself at the service of the team and shown full commitment from Day One. He was always there when he was needed, and we will not stand in his way.”

Ramos reflected on his time at the club, saying, “It was a great honor for me to represent a club with such a great history as HSV. I leave with unforgettable memories, friendships for life, and the knowledge that I gave my all in every moment. My chapter as a player here is over, but my connection to the club remains.”
