After three months of rehabilitation from a broken wrist, Youssef El Kachati is set to make his return to the match selection for NEC this Saturday against AZ. Although there were speculations about a potential move back to Telstar, he has firmly dismissed those rumors.

El Kachati expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “I am so happy; I can finally play football again,” in an interview with De Gelderlander. He added, “There is also a great sense of relief. I have gone through some difficult months.” The striker suffered wrist ligament tears in October 2025, which required him to undergo two surgeries.
