In light of these difficulties, there are discussions regarding the extension of General Director Dennis te Kloese’s contract. Insider Rutger Vinke has reported on social media that te Kloese is being recognized for his efforts in uniting Stadion Feijenoord and the club. However, he himself has expressed concerns about the tough years ahead for the organization: “Te Kloese is set to receive an improved contract, but the coming years will be extremely challenging for the club.”

Commenting on the situation, Geert den Ouden from RTV Rijnmond emphasized the need for the director to take charge and address the pressing issues at hand. He warned, “If these matters are not resolved, it could lead to the coach being replaced in a couple of months.” Regarding Robin van Persie, den Ouden noted, “He still has much to learn. This is not a negative critique; rather, it’s a logical observation given the decision to appoint an inexperienced coach, fully aware of the associated risks. If te Kloese chooses to dismiss him now, it could reflect poorly on the gamble he took in hiring him.”
