Arne Maier’s Transfer to Ujpest Budapest Officially Confirmed

The transfer of German midfielder Arne Maier to Ujpest Budapest has been officially confirmed. His current club, FC Augsburg, has not disclosed the financial details of the transfer involving the former Germany U21 star.

Maier is valued at approximately €2 million, although it is likely that FC Augsburg was willing to negotiate a favorable agreement with Ujpest’s sporting director, Pal Dardai, who was also Maier’s coach previously.

“After thorough discussions, we decided to honor Arne’s wish for a new sporting opportunity,” stated FCA sporting director Benni Weber in a club announcement. “We have reached a mutually beneficial solution.
