The winter transfer market has officially concluded as of midnight yesterday, closing the transfer window until the end of the season. Espanyol has made one significant addition to their roster, alongside two departures.

In terms of new arrivals, Cyril Ngonge has joined to strengthen the attacking front, filling the gap left by Puado, who will be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to injury. On the other hand, Koleosho and Javi Hernández have parted ways with the club.

Alan Pace, the club’s president, recently discussed the team’s European ambitions and the plans for enhancing the squad. He attended the Mundo Deportivo gala last night, representing Espanyol and leading their delegation. During the event, Pace was asked about the team’s prospects for Europe and their goals for the rest of the season. He stated, “Europe? I want us to always have this goal and dream of winning many titles and achieving cups. While we cannot dream of Europe right now, we must take it step by step and continue to work hard.”

In an interview with Sergio Escario, Pace also evaluated Espanyol’s performance and the role of the sporting management during this winter transfer market, which was anticipated to be crucial for improving the team. He noted, “This market was a bit tough, honestly. We had many plans that started with the transfer window, and ultimately, we were unable to accomplish everything we aimed for. We will strive to learn from what has transpired and hope to be in a better position for the summer.”
