Ajax Welcomes New Talent Maher Carrizo

Maher Carrizo can now proudly call himself an Ajacied. On Tuesday, he officially signed a contract in Amsterdam that extends until mid-2030. The Argentine forward, who is joining from Vélez Sarsfield, has introduced himself to the Ajax community, and Marijn Beuker has also shared insights about this exciting new acquisition.

In a video released on the official channels, Carrizo introduced himself to Ajax fans, stating, “Hello, I am Maher Mauricio Carrizo. I am 19 years old and play as a right winger.” He showcased a large tattoo on his back, which depicts a lion and Jesus. “The message here is to be a warrior, to be strong, and to always keep fighting.”

Beuker, the director of football affairs, provided his perspective on the latest addition to Ajax. “Maher is a young player with immense potential. He can be characterized as a right winger who seeks action, cuts inside, and continuously creates threats through dribbling, shooting, and crossing. Moreover, he brings an extra dimension to the team with his character and energy,” he remarked on the club’s website.
