PSV Eindhoven has confirmed that they will retain Ricardo Pepi for the time being; however, it is highly anticipated that the American striker will depart next summer. The club may turning its attention towards Joshua Zirkzee as a possible replacement.

Suleyman Öztürk expressed his enthusiasm for Zirkzee’s potential fit with PSV during the Deadline Show of Voetbal International. He noted, “Jerdy Schouten made a significant impact after moving from Bologna to PSV, and this is true for several players within the team. Zirkzee has demonstrated considerable potential at Bologna, particularly when utilized in a versatile role as a ‘9.5’. I believe Zirkzee would be an ideal striker for Peter Bosz’s system.”

Additionally, PSV may consider pursuing Zirkzee after Pepi’s injury setback. Transfer journalist Mounir Boualin mentioned in the Transfermind podcast from SoccerNews that it is plausible for PSV to make an attempt to acquire the Dutch forward, albeit with some reservations. Zirkzee is also reportedly being monitored by other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur and Juventus.
