Sparta Rotterdam Expected to Sign Milan Zonneveld from Telstar

Sparta Rotterdam is poised to acquire Milan Zonneveld, the current striker for Telstar. The tall forward is very close to making a transfer to De Kasteelclub, as confirmed by Technical Director Gerard Nijkamp during an interview with ESPN.

Zonneveld is expected to finalize his contract with Sparta later tonight.

Transfer deadline day often demands intense effort, and this is no different at Het Kasteel in Rotterdam. “It has been a busy day, and we are still at work. We hope to finalize some incoming transfers, and it is likely that a few players will be leaving as well,” Nijkamp stated to ESPN. One of those players anticipated to join the team is Zonneveld from Telstar. “Milan is an intriguing player, especially as another striker is temporarily departing. We are finalizing the last details now.”

Zonneveld’s acquisition is also linked to the potential departure of Tobias Lauritsen to Sparta. There has been interest in the tall Norwegian striker. Similarly, Joshua Kitolano has attracted interest as well. “I don’t want to get into specifics, but there has certainly been activity surrounding both players. The figures involved have either been substantial or the interest has not materialized into concrete offers, which led us to conclude that we should not pursue those options,” Nijkamp confirmed.
