PSV Concludes Transfer Window with Key RetentionsPSV Concludes Transfer Window with Key Retentions

PSV Eindhoven will not engage in any transactions on Deadline Day of this winter transfer period. This was stated by Earnest Stewart earlier today. In an interview with Eindhovens Dagblad, the director reflected on his experience during this transfer window, also addressing the situation of Ricardo Pepi.

Pepi, the American striker, attracted significant attention from Fulham FC; however, a transfer did not materialize. Stewart noted, “We received astronomical offers for Pepi, but we were not willing to facilitate a transfer. Ricardo has handled the situation exceptionally well. While one could feel disheartened, it serves no purpose. He understood our position, and we will continue moving forward.”

While Pepi will remain in Eindhoven, another key figure, Peter Bosz, will also stay on. Shortly after an impressive victory against Feyenoord, PSV announced that the head coach’s contract has been extended until 2028. Stewart expressed his satisfaction, stating, “We are truly delighted that Peter has chosen to stay. The collaboration has been very enjoyable. It is not my role to disclose the specifics of our discussions, but I firmly believe in the importance of consistency and continuity. Having a good coach is essential, especially given the ongoing changes within the team.”
