Ajax Secures Young Talent Maher Carrizo from Velez Sarsfield

Ajax has officially announced the signing of Maher Carrizo as their latest acquisition. The 19-year-old right winger from Argentina joins the club from Velez Sarsfield, and Ajax has invested a significant amount to secure his services.

Carrizo has been contracted by Ajax until 2030. His arrival on the last day of the winter transfer window was not entirely unexpected. Marijn Beuker, the club’s director of football, indicated on Tuesday morning during an interview with FC Afkicken that the signing was in the works. “We are finalizing the acquisition of our new Argentine player. Additionally, we are still in search of a player for the defensive midfield position,” Beuker stated.
