According to Bild, Eintracht Frankfurt is expressing interest in Hoffenheim midfielder Grischa Prömel, who is set to be available for a free transfer this summer.

Following a challenging start to the year, where Frankfurt conceded three goals in six of their seven matches, the club opted not to pursue a defensive midfielder during the winter transfer window. Instead, their focus is now on reinforcing this position ahead of the upcoming season.

In the past, potential acquisitions have included Liverpool’s Wataru Endo and Raphael Onyedika of Club Brugge, who was a target for Wolfsburg. However, no feasible moves were finalized during this period.

Frankfurt instead invested in their attacking options, bringing in Younes Ebnoutalib (€8 million from Elversberg), Arnaud Kalimuendo (loan from Nottingham Forest), Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab (€200k from Hoffenheim), and left-back Keita Kosugi (€6.5 million from Djurgarden).

Additionally, Catejan Lenz from Bochum is a known target for the club. Now, Eintracht Frankfurt joins a list of Bundesliga clubs interested in Prömel, whose contract with Hoffenheim expires this summer. The 31-year-old has also attracted attention from RB Leipzig and his hometown club, VfB Stuttgart.
