Feyenoord’s recent performance results have been disappointing, and the quality of play has not provided much hope for improvement. Nevertheless, head coach Robin van Persie is expected to retain his position. Feyenoord analyst Martijn Krabbendam predicts that any changes will likely involve a staff member rather than the head coach himself.

In a discussion on the ESPN program ‘Voetbalpraat’, Krabbendam stated that the club’s management convened following the 3-0 defeat to PSV. He confirmed, however, that this meeting will not lead to immediate changes. “The current situation is that Van Persie will continue in his role,” he explained.

Should there be adjustments within the coaching staff, it is possible that assistant coach René Hake may face the consequences. Reports indicate that Hake has been critical of Van Persie’s communication style. Hugo Borst commented on this in the Algemeen Dagblad, revealing that Hake shared his concerns at an anniversary event in Emmen, describing Van Persie as a poor communicator. “Robin surrounds himself with many experts, yet he rarely acts on their recommendations. We’ve heard similar accounts from his time at Heerenveen,” Borst noted.
