In an exclusive interview with GOAL, Eden Hazard was asked to identify the “most underrated player in the Premier League.” He took the opportunity to highlight Chelsea’s Moises Caicedo, asserting not only that he is underrated but also that he currently stands as the best player in the league.

Hazard stated, “That’s a good question. You know what, as a Chelsea fan, I would say Caicedo. Best player in the Premier League I think now.”

When queried about which active player resembles his style the most, Hazard playfully responded, “Is Neymar still playing?” After confirmation that Neymar is indeed active, he expressed his admiration for the Brazilian superstar.

Additionally, Hazard shared that his fondest memory from his career was Belgium’s third-place finish in the 2018 World Cup, where they triumphed over England to secure the bronze medal. He also expressed a desire to have grown up emulating French icon Zinedine Zidane and mentioned Lionel Messi as his dream teammate. When asked what he might have pursued if not for football, Hazard contemplated before settling on the idea of becoming a physical education teacher.

Currently enjoying his retirement after a remarkable career, Hazard won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France with Lille, before moving to Chelsea, where he captured two Premier League titles, two Europa League titles, an FA Cup, and a League Cup. His tenure at Real Madrid included winning the Champions League and La Liga twice. He has also been inducted into the Premier League’s Hall of Fame, having scored 110 goals and provided 88 assists in 352 appearances for Chelsea.
