Antony’s Resilience Shines Through Adversity

The beginning of the year has not been easy for Antony. The Brazilian has been dealing with discomfort due to pubalgia for several weeks. Nonetheless, his commitment to Real Betis is unwavering, as he continues to push himself to be available for coach Pellegrini. “I am very happy about the goal, but even more so about the victory. It has been a very tough week; we lost at home in the Cup, and that was difficult. This shows that we are a family; we understood the importance of today’s match and knew that we needed to change many things, especially our intensity. I’m very pleased with our performance,” Antony expressed after the win.

Regarding Pellegrini’s input, he noted, “He created a video of the match we lost. This was important for our self-reflection. We changed our energy and intensity, and we transformed everything. I’m very happy to secure the three points.”

On the disallowed goal by Atlético, he stated, “Griezmann was offside. It is challenging to play in this stadium. We need to rest because there’s more to come on Sunday.”
