omidbasir- Robin van Persie is increasingly under pressure at Feyenoord. There are even suggestions that the coach should step down in Rotterdam-South. Is this sentiment justified?

Van Persie’s situation at Feyenoord has become precarious. Last Sunday, Feyenoord managed to secure a narrow victory against FC Utrecht, with a final score of 0-1 at De Galgenwaard. However, the win was arguably not deserved, as the home side created more significant chances throughout the match. The visitors played in a makeshift formation, with Jakub Moder stepping in as an emergency striker.

In a discussion on RTV Rijnmond, ESPN commentator Koert Westerman shared his thoughts on the ongoing situation at Feyenoord. “I have been watching football for nearly fifty years, half of which has been on a more or less professional basis. I have rarely experienced a scenario where, even after a match, I am uncertain about the game plan, tactics, or overall objective of a team like Feyenoord.”

Westerman further elaborated on his frustration with Van Persie’s decisions. “I honestly have no idea what the approach is. Even during a match between Top Oss and RKC, I can usually discern the strategy within the first ten minutes. But with Feyenoord… it’s perplexing.”
