omidbasir- Arsenal forward Kai Havertz has encountered a fresh injury setback, which is expected to keep him sidelined for the upcoming north London derby against Tottenham, according to sources from ESPN.

The 26-year-old has made just seven appearances this season, having only recently returned to play last month after dealing with a knee injury sustained during the opening weekend of the campaign.

While the specifics of the new injury remain unclear, reports indicate that it may involve a muscular issue, which will prevent him from participating in Thursday’s Premier League match against Brentford.

Following this, Arsenal faces a packed schedule, with three games within a week, including an FA Cup fourth-round match against Wigan, followed by fixtures against Wolves and Spurs on February 22.

Havertz is now regarded as a significant doubt for the match against Tottenham. This latest injury is a disappointing development for the German international, who previously suffered a torn right hamstring in February of the previous year, which sidelined him for the remainder of the season.

Adding to Arsenal’s challenges, they are also without key players Mikel Merino, Martin Ødegaard, and Bukayo Saka as they strive to maintain a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.
