Kasper Dolberg Reflects on His Return to Ajax and Team Changes

The striker, who experienced significant success during his previous tenure with the Amsterdam club, now observes that many aspects have changed, including the sporting environment. In an interview with Ajax Life, the Danish forward indicated that he is not particularly worried about these changes.

Dolberg shared his thoughts on the transformations at Ajax, stating, “You only realize what you had when you no longer have it. I have felt this since I left Ajax. This is a fantastic club. There are other great clubs, that’s true, but Ajax feels different from all the others.” The striker left for OGC Nice in 2019 and subsequently went on loan to Sevilla and Hoffenheim. In 2023, he transferred to RSC Anderlecht—each a notable club, yet none can compare to Ajax.

Regarding his aspirations for winning another league title with Ajax, Dolberg is encouraged to elevate his performance, as noted by Pierre van Hooijdonk. The former striker stated, “He is not aggressive enough to score goals. He has sufficient vision, but his output needs to improve,” during a discussion on Studio Voetbal.
