Jude Bellingham s Injury Raises Concerns for Upcoming FriendliesJude Bellingham s Injury Raises Concerns for Upcoming Friendlies

omidbasir- Jude Bellingham sustained a hamstring injury during a match against Rayo Vallecano on February 1, raising concerns about his fitness for England’s upcoming friendlies in March.

The 22-year-old Real Madrid midfielder initially faced a recovery timeline of approximately four weeks. However, recent assessments suggest that his injury may be more severe, potentially extending his absence to six to eight weeks.

Should this new timeline prove accurate, Bellingham will have limited opportunity to demonstrate his fitness for England’s home fixtures against Uruguay and Japan at Wembley at the end of March.

England manager Thomas Tuchel addressed Bellingham’s injury during the Nations League draw, stating, “The club is a bit more cautious regarding the weeks of his recovery. Jude is pushing himself, and as we know, he is determined and extremely professional. He will do everything possible to be with us in March. Naturally, we are in contact, which is standard procedure, and we wish him all the best. We will support him in any way we can. It’s a bit of a race against time.”

When asked about his confidence in Bellingham’s recovery, Tuchel remarked, “Personally, I am optimistic, but I cannot be certain.”

If Bellingham, with 46 caps for England, fails to recover in time, it would be a significant setback for Tuchel. His position in the squad has been a topic of discussion, especially with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers frequently taking on the number 10 role in recent matches.

Despite these concerns, Bellingham remains a critical player for England as they prepare for the upcoming World Cup this summer, with Tuchel expected to announce his squad in May.
