omidbasir- Jordi Cruijff is actively seeking a new head coach for Ajax, someone who can take over from interim coach Fred Grim this upcoming summer. A potential candidate that has surfaced in recent discussions is Thomas Frank, who was dismissed from his position as manager of Tottenham Hotspur yesterday.

According to Tipsbladet, Frank has emerged as a contender for the vacant role at the Johan Cruijff ArenA. The question arises: Could Thomas Frank be the individual to steer Ajax back on course? The past few years have been tumultuous for the Amsterdam club, marked by the departure of head coach John Heitinga last autumn, who subsequently became Frank’s assistant at Tottenham. Since Heitinga’s departure, Fred Grim has assumed the role of head coach at Ajax, but there are now speculations about whether Frank could become the second Danish head coach in the club’s history, following Morten Olsen.

In an interview with Voetbal International, Cruijff was asked if he has a preference for a Spanish or Dutch coach. He responded, “I want a coach who is demanding, tough, and brings a winning mentality, but I don’t consider nationality to be important. I understand that people are talking about a Spanish invasion, which I find amusing, because if you look at my CV as technical director, I have worked far more with Dutch coaches than with Spanish ones. Therefore, I focus on what someone can contribute to our team rather than their nationality.”
