Mohamed Salah s Future at Liverpool Rumors and SpeculationsMohamed Salah s Future at Liverpool Rumors and Speculations

omidbasir- Mohamed Salah is currently signed with Liverpool until 2027, following a lucrative contract extension on Merseyside. However, his future has come into question after a recent outburst directed towards Premier League rivals.

The 33-year-old forward expressed his displeasure at being benched by manager Arne Slot, accusing the club of undermining him as they struggled in their title defense.

Since returning from his duty in the Africa Cup of Nations, Salah has regained favor but has not scored a Premier League goal since November 1, accumulating only seven goals this season—far fewer than what fans have come to expect from him during his eight-and-a-half years in English football.

Liverpool may consider selling Salah while they can still command a significant fee, particularly with reports suggesting that wealthy clubs in Saudi Arabia have long-standing contract offers ready.

Transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano noted on his YouTube channel that Saudi clubs are likely to return for Salah in the upcoming summer transfer window. Specifically, Al-Ittihad may be interested, especially after losing superstars like Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kanté, as they seek to bolster their squad with a marquee signing.

Romano mentioned, “I’m told that there could be more Saudi clubs attentive and keen on Mohamed Salah. Let’s see also from the MLS if some club decides to engage in discussions to sign him from Liverpool.”

While Salah’s future remains uncertain, former Liverpool striker Stan Collymore predicts that he may indeed leave this summer. Collymore stated, “For the remainder of the season, Salah will play, but for Liverpool to evolve under Arne Slot, it is possible that either he or Virgil van Dijk may depart.”

He added that Salah’s frustrations might stem from the attention given to new recruits like Hugo Ekitike and Isak, who have been welcomed enthusiastically by fans. This perceived lack of respect could influence Salah’s decision.

As the summer approaches, the interest from clubs like Al-Nassr might intensify, especially with ongoing speculation surrounding the future of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been linked to a potential move to the MLS.
