omidbasir- As he approaches his inaugural home game as head coach of Eintracht Frankfurt, Albert Riera has issued a clear warning to Borussia Mönchengladbach regarding their upcoming match on Saturday.

Riera, a Spanish national, has quickly established himself as an engaging figure during press conferences. Recently, when questioned about Union Berlin’s playing style, he humorously gestured to illustrate that the team relies heavily on direct, long-ball football.

In his first encounter with the media, the 43-year-old coach made a bold statement, suggesting his players would follow his instructions to the letter, even if it meant taking extreme actions.

This season, Eintracht Frankfurt faces a significant challenge—not in taking risks, but rather in their struggle to maintain defensive solidity. To date, the team has conceded 46 goals, placing them just behind FC Heidenheim, who has allowed 47.

Eugen Polanski, head coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach, acknowledged this vulnerability and indicated his team’s strategy would focus on capitalizing on it during their match.

In response, Riera confidently asserted, “He will see a completely different team tomorrow.” He elaborated, stating, “We will defend much better. We defend through possession, and when we lose the ball, we won’t give them a chance to breathe.”

Securing a victory in matchday 22 would elevate Frankfurt to 31 points, a crucial step towards their aspirations for European football next season. A win tomorrow would provide a vital boost.
