Tottenham s Bergvall Attracts Interest Amid Coaching ChangesTottenham s Bergvall Attracts Interest Amid Coaching Changes

omidbasir- Chelsea made an inquiry for midfielder Bergvall during the winter transfer window, but according to The Athletic, Tottenham Hotspur expressed no desire to offload the young talent. Alongside Chelsea, Aston Villa also approached Spurs regarding Bergvall, who was named Tottenham’s Player of the Year last season. However, his influence has diminished in the current campaign, having made only ten Premier League starts in 2025-26. This situation may change with the recent appointment of Tudor as head coach.

Bergvall joined Tottenham in 2024 and signed a long-term contract extension last year, which is set to run until 2031. He expressed his enthusiasm for his time at the club, stating, “I’m really excited and grateful to everyone who has helped me, and I’m excited for this journey to continue. It’s a club with great ambitions, and I’m truly enjoying my time here. I’ve learned a lot. Coming to a new country and culture was a challenge, but with help from Deki (Dejan Kulusevski), I settled in. Living independently and managing daily life responsibilities, like cooking and maintaining my home, has contributed to my growth as both a player and a person.”

Bergvall acknowledged the hard work that has gone into his development this season, noting, “If you compare my early days to now, I came from the Swedish league with much to learn. Around Christmas, I began to receive more playing time and developed significantly with the support of my teammates and coaching staff.”

Following a disappointing Premier League season under Frank, Tottenham have turned to Tudor in hopes of revitalizing their campaign. The former Juventus manager acknowledged the challenges ahead, stating, “It is an honour to join this club at such a critical time. I understand the responsibility I bear and am focused on delivering consistent performances and competitive spirit in every match. There is significant quality within this squad, and my role is to organize, energize, and swiftly improve our results.”

Tudor’s inaugural match will be a highly anticipated North London derby against Arsenal. This clash presents a formidable challenge for the new manager, as he faces Mikel Arteta’s Premier League leaders at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. While Arsenal enters the match as favorites, Tottenham is aware that a victory could impede their rivals’ title aspirations, especially with Arsenal currently four points ahead of Manchester City after their recent 1-1 draw against Brentford.
