Player Updates Ahead of Barcelona Match

Claudio Giráldez has included goalkeeper Radu in the list of 24 players called up for the match against Barcelona this Sunday at Balaídos. Radu showed promising signs during Saturday’s training session and is not ruled out for participation in the match.

The goalkeeper, who is currently dealing with a sprain in his right thumb, missed the previous Thursday’s game in Zagreb against Dinamo. Should he be selected to play, he will then need to travel with the Romanian national team for two matches during this international window. If the decision is made to avoid risking his health, Iván Villar is expected to take his place in goal.

In contrast, Carlos Domínguez has been ruled out at the last minute due to a minor ankle sprain sustained during Thursday’s Europa League clash.

Domínguez’s absence adds to the list of injured players, which includes Williot Swedberg, Javi Rueda, and Hugo Álvarez. As a result, the coach has called up all the available players, including Aidoo and Cervi, both of whom have seen minimal playtime this season.
