omidbasir- Cristiano Ronaldo is poised to make his return for Al-Nassr this Saturday after missing three consecutive games, amidst ongoing speculation regarding his future with the Saudi Arabian club.

The 41-year-old forward had reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with the club’s management under Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF). In response to the unrest, the Saudi Pro League stated that “no individual—regardless of their significance—should influence decisions beyond their own club.” Ronaldo will return as captain for the match against Al-Fateh.

Al-Nassr, currently positioned third in the league standings, hinted at Ronaldo’s comeback through a social media post featuring the captain’s armband alongside his jersey in the dressing room.

Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in December 2022, following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract with Manchester United. He became the highest-paid player in football history, earning an annual salary of £177 million.

Since his arrival, Al-Nassr, a ten-time league champion, has only secured the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup. Sources from BBC Sport indicate that Ronaldo’s frustration was exacerbated by the recent transfer of his former Real Madrid teammate Karim Benzema to league leaders Al-Hilal from Al-Ittihad.
