omidbasir- Luis Castro embraces challenges, and this recent situation proved to be more complex than previous ones. Following Toljan’s suspension due to receiving his fifth yellow card in last week’s match against Athletic in San Mamés, the Levante coach had to make strategic adjustments for the right-back position. The solution lay in Buñol, specifically in the promising talent of Nacho Pérez.

Hailing from Turís, Pérez made his first start for the Orriols-based team in La Liga. He played a total of 78 minutes, contributing effectively in both defensive duties alongside Dela and also participating in various attacking plays with Kareem Tunde.

Although Pérez had participated in two cup matches this season—spending five minutes against Cieza and 67 minutes against Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa—this marked his debut in the regular league, making him the youngest player to debut in the top tier of Spanish football for Levante.

At just 17 years, 5 months, and 15 days, he surpassed the previous record held by Álex Primo, who made his first appearance with the first team on May 15, 2022, against Deportivo Alavés.

Nacho Pérez joined the Buñol sports complex as a Benjamin player. After excelling in all the teams he participated in, along with a brief stint at Patacona, he began training under Luis Castro’s guidance, ultimately leading to his debut against the Mestalla team.
