Injury Concerns Persist at FeyenoordInjury Concerns Persist at Feyenoord

omidbasir- Feyenoord is enduring a relentless wave of injuries. Oussama Targhalline was forced to leave the match against Go Ahead Eagles due to a heavy challenge from Thibo Baeten. Additionally, his substitute Sem Steijn could not finish the game either. This ongoing predicament has led to renewed discussions about the necessity for intervention in the club’s medical staff.

The surge in injuries has drawn significant attention, particularly the case of Steijn. Dennis Kranenburg, a Feyenoord analyst, remarked on FC Rijnmond, “If you announce beforehand that he’s back and could potentially play, it does not necessarily mean he is fit enough to complete 75 minutes.”

Kranenburg believes that Feyenoord’s injury crisis is far from over. “In my opinion, it has never really subsided. The list includes Trauner, Beelen, Jeng, Read, Van Persie, Diarra, Sauer, and now Targhalline; it’s quite extensive. While not all injuries can be prevented—some, like those of Targhalline and Beelen, are simply unfortunate—it is indeed troubling to see such a long list of sidelined players.”
